Terms of service
Last updated: 2 September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use novaecho.co.uk or buy from Nova Echo.
By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in them limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including your rights under UK consumer law.
2. Using our store
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract to place an order. You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping login details confidential. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
You must not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, scrape it at unreasonable scale, commit fraud or use it in breach of law or another person's rights.
3. Products and skincare information
Our products are cosmetics for external use. Product information is provided to help you choose and use them appropriately, but it is not medical advice and the products are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure a medical condition.
Follow the directions and warnings supplied with the product. Check the ingredient list before use, particularly if you have known sensitivities. Patch testing is recommended when introducing a new skincare product. Stop use if irritation occurs and seek appropriate professional advice where needed. Individual experiences and visible results vary.
4. Product descriptions and availability
We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary slightly between screens, packaging batches and photography. Packaging or presentation may change without affecting the product's essential characteristics.
Products remain subject to availability. We may set reasonable purchase limits, correct errors or withdraw a product before accepting an order.
5. Orders and contract formation
Your order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not mean the order has been accepted. A binding contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been dispatched, unless we expressly accept it earlier.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, information is materially incorrect, a pricing or promotion error is obvious, fraud is suspected, a purchase limit is exceeded or fulfilment would be unlawful or impracticable. If payment has been taken for an order we do not accept, we will refund it.
Please check your order and contact support@novaecho.co.uk promptly if anything is incorrect.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, delivery charges and the final total are displayed before you submit the order. Prices may change, but a change will not affect an order already accepted.
Payment must be made using an option offered at checkout. Payment services are supplied by third-party providers and may be subject to their terms and security checks.
If a displayed price or discount is clearly incorrect, we may cancel the affected order before dispatch and refund any amount paid.
7. Promotions and discounts
Promotions are subject to their stated period, eligibility and product restrictions. Unless expressly stated, offers cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively. We may refuse or withdraw a promotion where it is used fraudulently, contrary to its terms or as a result of a technical or pricing error. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Delivery, risk and ownership
We currently deliver to the United Kingdom. Available methods, charges and estimated times are shown at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates. We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and keep you informed where appropriate.
Risk passes to you when the products are delivered to you or a person you nominate. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full and delivery has taken place.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address or an uncollected parcel may be charged where reasonable and lawful.
9. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Our Refund Policy explains our 30-day return window and the conditions for returning opened and unopened products. To request a return, contact support@novaecho.co.uk before sending anything back.
For most online purchases, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after delivery, subject to legal exceptions. Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons may lose the statutory cancellation right once unsealed. Our published Refund Policy may provide additional rights beyond the statutory minimum.
Refunds are made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. We may reduce a refund where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has diminished the value of the goods, where permitted by law.
10. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Inspect your order after delivery and contact us promptly if an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. Include the order details and, where helpful, photographs. We will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with UK consumer law. Your legal rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods are not affected by any return condition applying to change-of-mind returns.
11. Subscriptions
If we offer a subscription, the price, frequency, minimum commitment if any, renewal arrangements and cancellation method will be shown before purchase. Subscription-specific terms presented at checkout form part of the contract and take priority if they conflict with this general section. You authorise recurring charges until the subscription is cancelled in accordance with those terms. Changes to future charges will be notified where required by law.
12. Intellectual property
The site and its content, including branding, copy, designs, graphics, photographs and software, are owned by or licensed to Nova Echo and protected by intellectual property law. You may use the site for personal shopping and may not reproduce, modify, distribute, exploit or create derivative commercial works from its content without written permission.
13. Reviews and customer content
Content you submit must be honest, based on genuine experience, lawful and respectful of others' rights. It must not contain confidential information, misleading claims, unlawful advertising, malicious code or material that is defamatory, discriminatory or obscene.
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it for publication, you grant Nova Echo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display it for operating and promoting Nova Echo, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy. We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary, but are not obliged to publish it.
14. Third-party services and links
The site may use or link to services operated by third parties, including payment, social media and delivery services. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services outside our control. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply.
15. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for avoidable losses caused by your failure to take reasonable steps, or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
The site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will use reasonable care in operating it but do not promise uninterrupted access.
16. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control. If such an event materially affects an accepted order, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect. Where performance becomes impossible or substantially delayed, either party may have the right to end the contract and receive any refund required by law.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future use of the site and future orders. The version applying to an order is the version available when the order is placed, unless a change is required by law. The current version and updated date will appear on this page.
18. General provisions
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your protections. You may transfer yours only with our agreement or where the law allows.
These terms are between you and Nova Echo. No other person has a right to enforce them, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms and contracts with us are governed by Scots law. The Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and you retain any mandatory protections available there.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern directly.
